CIS Basketball Championship In Ottawa March 19th-21st

OTTAWA – In conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity Sport and Scotiabank Place, the host organizing committee for the 2010 Canadian Interuniversity Sport men’s basketball championship – the Final 8, presented by Milk, announced that doubleheader session tickets are on sale now. Last spring, more than 73,000 fans witnessed CIS basketball action when the top-seeded tournament host Carleton Ravens captured their sixth W.P. McGee trophy in seven years with an 87-77 victory over the No. 3 seed UBC Thunderbirds in the championship game.

Clerks 1 & 2 Back On The Big Screen

I know it's not really hip-hop related but it's something to do in Ottawa and worthy of a few laughs.

March 22nd at the Bytown on Bank St.

The Kevin Smith Night takes place on March 22, 2010 at the Mayfair Theatre in Ottawa. There'll also be door prizes drawn between movies for DVDs, books, and posters signed by Kevin Smith. Everyone who buys a ticket is automatically entered in to the door prize draws.

Kevin Smith Night came about because I'm something of a Kevin Smith fan. I've never had the chance to see Clerks on the big screen, and figured it was time to remedy that. So I rented out the Mayfair Theatre for the night and thought it might make for a fun event.

@DJChongWizard is not from Ottawa...He hails from Van City.

But he is one of my favorite DJs that has been consistently cooking fine canadian cuisine on the international scene for years.

I never heard of him but a friend of mine was excited about this new Ottawa artist MIKE CLEFF on youtube. After reviewing some of his music I really like his flow...He seems to have his vision and style locked down. Let's hope this 17 year old rapper/song-writer/entertainer can make a name for himself in the music industry.
